Have you ever been in the middle of reading an article on the web, watching a video on Youtube, composing an email to someone, or maybe even browsing through an online store when all of a sudden everything is frozen? The cursor is not moving. The little circle is still spinning while on the bottom of the screen it says, "Done." You're trying to move the mouse, click something and in frustration you begin to pick up and bang the mouse continuously, as if this is going to help. We’ve made mistakes and had fallen into traps that have slowed us down and even stopped us dead in our tracks. But it’s not the end!!! All we need to do is log off of where we are, Refresh our screens and start over. Well how do I do that? Easy, here are 2 simple ways!
1. Acts 3:19 (Amplified Bible)
19 So repent (change your mind and purpose); turn around and return [to God], that your sins may be erased (blotted out, wiped clean), that times of refreshing (of recovering from the effects of heat, of reviving with fresh air) may come from the presence of the Lord…
2. 1 John 1:9 (Amplified Bible)
9 If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just (true to His own nature and promises) and will forgive our sins [dismiss our lawlessness] and [continuously] cleanse us from all unrighteousness [everything not in conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action].
What a great reminder to us. Times of refreshing will always come from the presence of the Lord. Thank God that he is our Refresh Button in Life!
