One Body in Christ to The World

ChurchSync Creates Synergy Between Churches
ChurchSync Creates Synergy Between Churches
One of the most discussed issues with the Church today revolves around the competition and disunity between one another. It seems like the world and businesses can break down walls and barriers to achieve a combined effort and mission yet the church has become dismembered and self absorbed with operating individually to try and accomplish their own goals and mission. Instead of focusing on synergy the church has achieved separation. Leaving the bond of togetherness many churches have sailed away to the island of isolation.

The Apostle Paul himself had to address this to the early churches that were established in his days on the Earth. He addresses this issue a number of times because it is a very strong wedge that the enemy uses to cause confusion, division and every other evil thing that can distract people from coming to know the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior. It’s time that the churches of the Lord Jesus Christ realize that we are all together the CHURCH of the Lord Jesus Christ. We are “One Body in Christ to the World.”

So how can we focus on Synergy rather than separation? How can we tune in to togetherness and leave the island of isolation?

1. Focus on Synergy

Synergy is the interaction of two or more agents or forces so that their combined effect is greater than the sum of their individual effects. Synergy is the potential ability of individual organizations or groups to be more successful or productive as a result of a merger.

How effective is your church right now in making a difference in your community? How much of an impact is your church doing to the devils kingdom in reaching people for Christ? What good is your church accomplishing in the outreaches and services you’re providing to the businesses and organizations of your town?

If your church combined its efforts together with one, two or more other churches in your community to achieve the same goals how much more effective would you all be in making a difference in your community?

If your church combined its efforts together with one, two or more other churches in simply reaching people for Christ, how much more of an impact would there be in destroying the devils agendas for them?

If your church combined its efforts together with one, two or more other churches in outreaches and services to the businesses and organizations of your towns how much more good would be accomplished through the combined efforts of everyone together?

There is strength in Synergy!

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 New Living Translation (NLT)

9 Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. 10 If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. 11 Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? 12 A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.

This scripture shows us the strength and results of combined efforts over individual efforts. This is a principal that will work as it is applied in all areas.

2: Remember that Each Church is Fighting Against the Same Enemy & it’s not Each Other

There is a real devil that is at work at all hours of every day focused on turning the people of every church represented in the world to his agenda and ways. He is deceptively and craftily enticing people, ministers, pastors, preachers, priests, politicians, high figures, low figures, anybody and everybody who will fall for his lines of deception.

So what are some ways we can beat him in his games?

Come together on a monthly basis to meet and discuss strategies and ideas to strengthen each other.

Have focused meetings. For example: This month is community outreach. How can we all come together to reach into the community to make an impact for Good and for Christ? Example: Have a food and clothing outreach together. One church can handle the food, another church can handle the facility or location, the other can organize the structure, etc…

At the end of the outreach if the churches collected peoples information they can distribute the people who live closest to their church to that pastor who is in their area.

Have leadership strengthening and training sessions. Bring in a speaker in a specific area of influence to build the churches up in that specific area of influence.

Example: Visitor follow up ideas and retention strategies. Share ideas in helping other churches find the right fit for what they need to do to increase their retention rates and retain more visitors.

One month have a community service. Example: Go through out the community and do acts of kindness promoting the Love of God towards people. The focus is making a difference through acts of kindness to touch people’s lives. Beautify a piece of land together to make the community see the unity and love each church has for each other.

The scripture tells us that, “They will know we are His disciples by the love we have and show towards one another.”

3. Focus on Supporting another Church to Help them Achieve its Mission

Churches are sometimes so afraid to share their successes and victories with others close by because what if it works for them and they grow larger in numbers than us?

What one sows, that and only that will one reap. If we sow natural support, financial support and prayer for another church, than we will reap those things we’ve sown back towards ourselves. It is a spiritual law that will take place. If a church is struggling and you know about it, do something to help, send them an offering.  How often have you seen one church go over to a different church to help beautiful their piece of land or building in some form or another? Not often at all. Have you ever sent an offering over to another local church in support to help them with their building project, outreach or just in general? Pray for those other churches in your community from the pulpit. Let the congregation hear you as the leader pray for their success, prosperity and blessings in what they are looking to achieve. This is taking hold of something bigger and greater than just you and what you’re focused on. You are now dealing with SYNERGY rather than SEPERATION! You are now working on TOGETHERNESS rather than ISOLATION. This is working together to make church better. This is unity at its BEST!

This is You and I Tying together to accomplish the same goals! This is also spelled UNITY! (You and I Ty)! We are One Body in Christ Working Together & Reaching Out To the World!
