ChurchSync Increases Rankings on Google
When you search for something or someone on Google you type in keywords that will hopefully generate very good and high quality results that will lead you to the answers you were searching for. When people search for your website are you being found? Are you showing up on the first page of results or the tenth page of results? I ask this question because not many people look beyond the first page of results when searching for something. If you’re not on the first two pages, preferably on the first page then you’re pretty much invisible.

As a church or ministry, are you maximizing your reach into your community and surrounding area’s? If someone is looking for a church within 15 miles of your location are they finding you? When people are looking for a church, they have shifted their searching from the yellow pages book to the internet. Many people go to the search engines to find their answers. They “Google it” or search for it through Yahoo, Bing, Aol, Youtube or MSN. Now take your church for instance. Type into the Google search bar, “Churches in (The Name of the City Your Church is in) Toms River NJ.”  Where do you show up? Are you on the first page, second, third or you just stopped because you’re nowhere to be found? Now if your church begins with the name of your city or town then you will most likely show up in the first page. These search results are all because someone has either optimized your site very good, mediocre or not at all. Now let’s try it again. Except this time we are going to type into the Google search bar, “Churches in (The Name of the City Next to Where Your Church is in) Brick NJ.” Do you show up on that search? Where are you showing up? First page, second, third, fourth…? How many people come from the surrounding areas other than the actual city or town the church is located in? I bet it’s a lot. So when people move into those towns one of the things they research on line is churches located in their new town. How would you like to show up when someone is looking for a church in the names of the towns surrounding your church? I know I would! Well you can.

Here are some tips to help you increase your chances of showing up in the first few pages when people search for you.

1. What key words would you use to search for your church?

Write them down and put them into your website keywords and meta tags.
