ChurchSync's Mission
ChurchSync Helps Churches Focus on The Mission

The Vision:

To empower churches with everything they need in follow up, consulting, training, technology and customized strategic solutions for church pastoral and administrative staff, arming them with the right tools needed to increase their impact in retaining, gaining and turning first time, repeat and referral attendees into lifetime members.

Facts to Consider:

·        There are currently about 3.7 million churches in the world and over 450,000 churches in the United States. (according to Premier Tourism Marketing's website.)
·        The average size of a church is about 75-80 people including children. (Wikipedia)
·        The average number of visitors that churches are retaining through Follow Up today is between 10 - 17%.(The Institute of Ministry Management and Leadership)
·        Leaving the average amount lost to 83-90%. (The Institute of Ministry Management and Leadership.)

In other words if 100 visitors came through the church only 10-17 stay. This means that 83-90 left and never came back! The average pastor has no idea where they stand regarding retention and they have no clue on what to do about it.

The person who visits a church has one shot to determine if they want to come back or not and so many churches have no plan in place to showcase the impact and power of their ministry to help compel those guests to want to come back again!

The Word:

Jesus said, "What man of you having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety nine in the wilderness and go after the ONE that is lost, until he finds it?”

Things to Know About Church Follow Up
Researchers say that church guests decide whether or not to return to the church they are visiting in the first 10 to 12 minutes upon entering the church premise.

A study by Servant Magazine indicated that every week over 53,000 people leave the church and never return. These people are not only lost to the church they visited, but possibly for eternity!

Archbishop William Temple said, "The church is the only cooperative society in the world that exists for the benefit of its non-members."

Broken Clock Methods

Churches today still use BROKEN CLOCK methods! For the most part, Churches have relied on a phone call, a cd as a gift and a letter sent to the guest as their only means of visitor follow up. A broken clock is only right 2 times a day. It’s producing a few results but not what it as intended for. Its true purpose is to tell time, the right time, all the time not just twice.

This broken clock analogy is like church follow up systems. Most churches today have something in place. The purpose is to retain visitors who attend the church. The problem with most of them today is that they too are broken. Now they may be retaining some results but not nearly as much as they should be. They’re ineffective producing little to no results!

Pastors’ are looking for better ways and better tools to get this done. And right now there are very few that have the capability to manage, retain and provide solutions to increase retention.

Facing the Facts of First-Time Visitors

Ask yourself these questions and take the time to evaluate your answers. This is the first step in taking your next step.
1.      How many first-time visitors attended service and filled out a visitor card within the last year?

2.      Out of the first-time visitors, how many first-time visitors came back a second time?

3.      How many came back a third time?

4.      How many of those visitors continued to come, attended membership class and has become a member?

5.      How many have attended membership class became a member and has not been back since the membership class?

6.      How many have become a member came for a little while after class and you haven’t seen them in more than 1 month’s time?

7.      How many have not become a member but still attend church?

8.      How many have made a first time public decision to either accept Christ or make any other commitment to Christ?

9.      How many who made a public decision to either accept Christ or made any other commitment to Christ are still coming to church?

10.  How many total members do you have right now?

11.  How many total members do you want to have within one year from now?

12.  What are you actively doing to retain your first-time visitor who comes in tomorrow?

13.  What are you doing to retain the visitor who came a few times and is no longer coming?

14.  What are you doing to retain and find the visitor who became a member and is no longer coming?

15.  What does this scripture say to you?

Luke 15:4-5 (New King James Version)
4 “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? 5 And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing.”
